Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of heartbreak in the early years achieved wide popularity in the first decade of the 21st century. Swift showed an interest in music as early as stage and progressed swiftly from roles in children's theatre to her debut performance in front of hundreds of people. In the moment that Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game at age 11 she had already begun writing songs. Following that year she began playing guitar. Swift was inspired by artists of country music like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness she felt at the age 13. Swift moved from Pennsylvania with her parents in the state of Tennessee to Hendersonville when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to the wooing of labels of country music in Nashville.
